We recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by Center Grove Magazine and as I was preparing for it, I wanted to know why our team chose us. Where we live, work, and relax are big life decisions and I wanted candid responses and while we didn't use those during the interviews, it warmed our hearts and I thought it was important to share with our community and potential colleagues. We love client reviews, but nothing beats a review from our team.

Good or bad, we can always use feedback to grow and create a fun, inclusive place to work!

When I started my first job we had to wear a certain color of pantyhose and close toed pumps...no heels or flats...pumps. If you got hired with tattoos you had to cover them with bandages. We have come so far but I still have to wear hard pants to work. I like being able to wear the stuff I am comfortable in when I work there!! - Andrea

Tbh I just wanted to see what it was like at BWell at first. No particular reason why I started working here other than recommendation, but I stayed for several. Sense of community and family, the people, the flexibility/freedom, opportunities for networking and getting to know the community better, the transparency from management...I could go on lol MD

So, I was a little different...i came to see BLythe for yoga and she encouraged me to get my yoga certification. She and ashley were so welcoming and encouraging and opened the space for me to grow and learn and i am forever grateful. I've worked a lot of places over the years and BW has been the most welcoming and encouraging. you're always willing to support me and encourage me to continue learning. _KA

I wore hoops to my restaurant job one time and I had to take them out because, "this isn't a night club." At my last salon job, an employee told me I could make her clients uncomfortable by (accidentally) showing my stomach when I grabbed something off of a top shelf. LMAO I am so happy to be at BW! -SB

I was working late one thursday night and had a date afterwards (I was 24 at the time) and I changed in the bathroom and on my way out, my salon manager at the time gave me the absolute worst look. I was wearing heels, shorts, and a top. I'm also 5'10". The next day, I got brought into the office because a client complained about what the, "jolly green giant" was wearing when she left. My shorts were green and apparently that warranted not only an insult, but a nickname. they weren't FEMINISTS but were run by women, 

The owner's husband at the same job told me I needed to wear makeup if i planned to be an esthetician because we want to attract the right clientele. Somehow, I worked there for 12 more years not even realizing how sexist that was.at the time. -BEP
